WHAT IS THE CHAMBER?
The Holbrook Chamber of Commerce is an action association designed to meet business community needs. It is a voluntary organization of small and large businesses, professionals and interested individuals who join together to advance the interests of the community. It is an information bureau and a business resource tool. It is run by its members through an elected board of directors. The board determines policy and hires professional staff. Everyone is welcome at Chamber meetings and encouraged to actively participate.
WHAT DOES IT DO?
The variety of chamber activities is virtually unlimited and changes constantly to meet the needs of the business community. Chamber membership offers numerous benefits, including ribbon-cutting ceremonies, advertising opportunities, exposure and contacts with other members and more! It coordinates event and advertising opportunities for the community, town of Holbrook and the region as a whole - targeting increasing exposure, interest, traffic, overnight stays and commerce within our community for the benefit of all.
WHO PAYS FOR IT?
The chamber is financed through membership dues and a portion of the city’s lodgers tax. While the city’s lodgers tax provides a base to fund operation of the Navajo County Historic Courthouse Visitor Center, Community, Event and Tourism advertising, assistance with Chamber programs, and the necessary professional staff, your Chamber membership is an investment in the present and future of Holbrook and the surrounding area. Any firm or individual sharing a common interest in community improvement is eligible for membership. Funds derived from membership dues provide for increased and enhanced services for the Chamber Membership, broadened efforts to develop and continue programs designed to bring additional business into your shops and demonstrates your interest and support of your local Chamber of Commerce and its efforts. Your membership means more than financial support, it truly is a vote for your Chamber and its value in your community. If you aren’t currently a member, please consider joining and adding your vote of support and your input today, or inquire as to how your membership can provide additional benefits to you, your business and your community.
